Gloria Bailey-Ray is the President and Founder of It’s Essential, LLC. Born in a small town in AR, she graduated from nursing school in the late 70’s and headed west. Attending the University of San Francisco (USF) she completed her Master’s in Public Administration with an emphasis in Health Services Administration/Managed Care. Her research thesis was so powerful that her professor obtained her permission to include it in his book titled “Capitation in California” which is still in print today.
Gloria is an up and coming sought after motivational speaker who is often referred to as “authentic” for keeping it real. Gloria is a Certified Professional Life Coach, who is respected for her professional business savvy. She is well-liked among all age groups with a pleasant personality that puts anyone in her presence at ease. Her high energy is contagious and she possesses the ability to infuse humor with reality allowing her talks to be embedded in the memory of attendees long after her talks end.
Gloria’s background in healthcare is the springboard for being sought after to speak on topics that are of a national health concerns such as hypertension, AIDS, obesity, and stress. Gloria has moderated panels for the American Heart Association| American Stroke Association as well as a health panel featuring award-winning actress Sheryl Lee Ralph who was the keynote speaker. She is an active supporter of the American Heart Association and most recently accepted a position on their Multicultural Executive Leadership Committee. Her level of knowledge, dedication and enthusiasm is very instrumental in propelling the messages of the American Heart Association as they continue the fight against heart disease and stroke. Gloria has been a guest speaker for organizations such as the Oakland African American Chamber of Commerce and the City of Richmond for their black history celebrations.
Gloria‘s list of credits reflects her ability to speak to varying groups that range from civic groups to city government, church group organizations, youth organizations as well as to business professionals. Gloria has started two successful networking organizations in the Bay Area and volunteers and supports numerous non-profit organizations. She has served as a board member on several boards in the Bay Area.
She has recently launch her first book in a series of four titled, “U Didn’t Get The Memo” focusing on corporate America, relationships, finance and raising children.
